“Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”
George Bernard Shaw
Has an idea ever come to you with such suddenness, certainty, and energy that it was impossible to resist?
That kind of signature moment may only occur a handful of times in a person's life, so it's a moment that should not be dismissed lightly. Well, that's exactly what happened to me when the notion for my book, Those Who Walk with Fire exploded into my consciousness as I drove south along Vermont Route 7 following a Wild Soul weekend I had attended north of Burlington in the Spring of 2006. I listened and I gave myself to it without reservation. I am so happy that I did.
After more than 4 long years of work, most of which were very exciting and fulfilling, I am happy to announce the publication and release of Those Who Walk with Fire: Everyday People Discuss the Passion that Fuels their Extraordinary Lives. Following In the tradition of author Studs Terkel, the book contains 33 individual interviews with everyday people discussing what they are passionate about and how that passion defines and gives meaning to their lives.
